Microsoft Lumia 650 Dual SIM price leaked on Amazon, pegs it at Rs 16,599

Microsoft is not giving its smartphone business a priority these days as the focus is currently on its core services. Still then there was just one more smartphone that is yet to be launched for the Indian market and that is the budget Lumia 650 Dual. Turns out, soon after the smartphone was launched in US and Canada, Amazon put up a listing for the same on its India storefront.

The Lumia 650 Dual listed on Amazon India is priced at Rs 16,599 for the 16GB white model, while the black version with the same storage capacity is listed for Rs 16,700. The smartphone has been listed by a local retailer and does not directly come from Amazon’s Microsoft Store.

Officially announced in February this year, it is a bit strange as to why the handset did not make it to India. But now that we know the price tag, it makes a bit of sense. Clearly, the smartphone is priced a bit too high. Aimed as devices meant for businesses more than consumers, Microsoft did however skip on one essential feature that would have made itworthwhile, Continuum.

Big features aside, this budget device also cuts down on hardware with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 and just 1GB RAM (which is borderline). Thankfully, it packs in a 5-inch OLED 720p display 8MP primary camera with LED flash that kind of justifies its price tag.

The device as per the listing will begin shipping from April 30.
